Big Data Collection

Manufacturing data is collectable from different production equipment’s, ERP, sensors and e.g. MS Office. Currently, data is shattered in different clients. The challenge is, how to connect this all information for production quality control, predictive maintenance, and AI foreman using OPC UA server architecture. Big data collection was carried out on an injection molding production cell as a pilot. Being able to collect data from the IM process enables us to start building the link between product quality features and process data. Understanding the ”shape and size” of the data helps with analysis and potential scale-up of data systems in the future.
