Developing and testing a mid-level controller for KUKA mobile robot

Ponsse is using KUKA mobile robot for an automated materialflow to frames from end of surface treatment line to assembly line thru quality measurement cell. Need was for mid-level controller that communicates with the KUKA software and higher level controller, such as an operator thru web based user interface. Also there was need to develop basis for scaling-up control and management system for current and future AGV’s. Mid-level controller for communication with KUKA AGV software and a user interface for different operator groups was developed.
